Takanori Nakajima (中島 卓也, Nakajima Takuya, born January 11, 1991) is a Japanese professional baseball player who plays as an infielder, primarily a shortstop, for the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters of Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB).
Early Life and Career
Born in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, Nakajima attended Fukuoka Tōōdaigaku Fuzoku High School. He was selected by the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters in the fifth round of the 2008 NPB draft.
Professional Career
Nakajima made his professional debut with the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters in 2009. He quickly established himself as a prominent defensive player in NPB. Known for his exceptional glove work, strong arm, and extensive range at shortstop, he became a cornerstone of the Fighters' infield for over a decade.
