Taguig–Pateros's 1st congressional district is a legislative district in the Philippines that elects a single representative to the House of Representatives. The district comprises the entire municipality of Pateros and the western portion of the highly urbanized city of Taguig in Metro Manila.
Establishment
The district was created by Republic Act No. 9369, which was ratified on December 23 2005, and was first contested in the 2007 general elections. The law merged the formerly separate congressional representations of Taguig and Pateros to form a combined Taguig–Pateros district divided into two seats (1st and 2nd districts).
Geographic composition
- Municipality: Pateros (the only municipality in Metro Manila)
- City: Taguig – specifically the barangays located in the western part of the city, including but not limited to those surrounding the Pateros border and the Taguig–Pateros Creek area.
