Taforalt

Overview
Taforalt, also known as Grotte des Pigeons (Cave of the Pigeons), is a prehistoric archaeological site located in the northeastern Rif region of Morocco, near the town of Taforalt in the Taza‑Al Hoceima area. The site contains a stratified sequence of Middle and Upper Paleolithic deposits and is notable for yielding some of the earliest known human skeletal remains in North Africa, as well as a rich assemblage of lithic artifacts.
