Authority: Described by Christian Guillermet in 1996 (originally published in Viette & Guillermet, 1996).

Synonyms and taxonomic notes

  • The species was originally placed in the genus Syllepte as Syllepte albopunctum Guillermet, 1996.
  • Subsequent taxonomic revisions have transferred the species to the genus Pramadea, where it is now treated as Pramadea albopunctum (Guillermet, 1996) (see Seizmair 2023).

  • Endemic to the island of Réunion in the Indian Ocean.

Description

  • Syllepte albopunctum is a moth belonging to the family Crambidae, commonly referred to as crambid snout moths. Habitat
