Svein Nyhus (born 27 May 1962) is a Norwegian illustrator, cartoonist, and author of children’s books. He graduated from the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry (now part of the Oslo National Academy of the Arts) and has worked extensively in publishing, television, and theater.
Career
- Illustration and picture books – Nyhus is best known for illustrating his own picture books as well as works by other Norwegian authors. Notable titles include “Hvorfor er himmelen blå?” (Why Is the Sky Blue?), “Min venn er en bjørn” (My Friend Is a Bear), and “Den forunderlige historien om den lille alpakka som ikke ville sove” (The Wonderful Story of the Little Alpaca Who Would Not Sleep).
