Supercoco is a brand of coconut-based candy (turrón) produced by the Colombian company Super de Alimentos (originally founded as Fábrica de Dulces Superman). It is one of the most recognized and long-standing confectionery products in Colombia.
History and Origin
Supercoco was created in 1948 by Federico Peters, an entrepreneur of Arab origin based in Manizales, Colombia. The product was inspired by a family recipe based on traditional cocadas (coconut sweets) from the Caribbean region of Colombia. It was the first and flagship product of the company, which was originally named Fábrica de Dulces Superman. The candy distinguished itself in a market then dominated by imported sweets or small-scale local productions, becoming a nationally recognized confection.

Corporate History
In 1979, a group of entrepreneurs from Manizales acquired the factory, and Emiliano Henao Mejía took over the direction of Super. In 1987, management passed to Felipe Henao Mejía, who led a period of modernization and expanded national distribution. The company later launched additional successful brands including Bianchi (1998), Trululu (2004), and Oka Loka (2016). Supercoco has remained the company's most iconic product for over 75 years.
