Stuart Gorrell (1901 – 1968) was an American lyricist best known for co‑authoring the lyrics to the popular song “Georgia on My Mind.” The music for the song was composed by Hoagy Carmichael, and Gorrell supplied the words in 1930 while both were students at Indiana University.
