Stowe Recreation Path

The Stowe Recreation Path is a paved, multi-use trail located in Stowe, Vermont, United States. It extends approximately 5.3 miles (8.5 km) from the village of Stowe at the intersection of Route 100 and Mountain Road (Route 108) northward to the Topnotch Resort. The path follows the West Branch of the Little River for much of its length and parallels Mountain Road.

Constructed in phases beginning in the late 1980s and completed in the early 1990s, the path was developed through a combination of federal grants, state funding, local fundraising, and land donations. It is maintained by the Town of Stowe Parks and Recreation Department.

The trail is designed for non-motorized use, accommodating pedestrians, cyclists, inline skaters, and cross-country skiers in winter. It connects key community assets, including the Stowe Village, the Stowe Elementary and Middle/High School campus, the Stowe Events Field, the Mayo Farm conservation land, and several lodging properties. The path features several bridges crossing the West Branch River and includes interpretive signage highlighting local ecology and history.
