Stefano Langone

Stefano Langone (born February 27 1989) is an American singer and musician. He gained national recognition as a contestant on the tenth season of American Idol, where he placed seventh. Following his appearance on the show, Langone pursued a solo recording career, releasing singles and performing as an independent artist.

Early life and education

Stefano Langone was born in Bellevue, Washington, to Ernie and Carrie Langone. His father, of Italian descent, worked as a career advisor at the Art Institute of Seattle and was also a singer and musician; his mother is of Mexican heritage. Langone began singing and playing piano in childhood. He attended Emerald Park Elementary School, Meridian Junior High, and Kentwood High School in Kent, Washington. He later enrolled at Bellevue College on a full‑ride scholarship, where he performed with the college’s vocal jazz ensemble “Celebration!”.

American Idol (2011)

Langone auditioned for American Idol’s tenth season in San Francisco, performing Marvin Gaye’s “I Heard It Through the Grapevine”. He advanced to the Top 13 through a wildcard selection by judge Jennifer Lopez and ultimately finished seventh on April 21 2011. During the competition he performed a range of songs spanning Motown, pop, and classic rock.

Post‑Idol activities (2011–2013)

After his elimination, Langone appeared on several talk‑show programs, including Live with Regis and Kelly, The Today Show, and The Rachael Ray Show. He joined the American Idols LIVE! Tour 2011, which ran from July to September 2011. He also performed the national anthem at a Western Hockey League game and made a television appearance on Dr. Drew’s “Lifechangers”.

Record deal and releases (2012–2015)

In January 2012, Langone signed a recording contract with Hollywood Records, a label owned by the Disney Music Group. Under this deal he released his debut single “I’m on a Roll” on April 24 2012; the track sold approximately 20,000 copies in its first week and was promoted with performances on American Idol and Good Morning America. A second single, “Yes to Love”, followed on February 12 2013, and Langone performed it on American Idol in April 2013.

During this period Langone performed at various charitable and public events, including Eva Longoria’s charity fundraiser in Las Vegas, the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Hollywood Christmas Parade, and benefit concerts for The Trevor Project. He also performed at a Motown tribute concert at Carnegie Hall in February 2012.

Independent career (2014–present)

Langone left Hollywood Records in early 2014 and began releasing music independently. He continues to write, record, and perform as a solo artist, maintaining an active presence on digital platforms and social media.
