Stefano Langone (born February 27 1989) is an American singer and musician. He gained national recognition as a contestant on the tenth season of American Idol, where he placed seventh. Following his appearance on the show, Langone pursued a solo recording career, releasing singles and performing as an independent artist.
Early life and education
Stefano Langone was born in Bellevue, Washington, to Ernie and Carrie Langone. His father, of Italian descent, worked as a career advisor at the Art Institute of Seattle and was also a singer and musician; his mother is of Mexican heritage. Langone began singing and playing piano in childhood. He attended Emerald Park Elementary School, Meridian Junior High, and Kentwood High School in Kent, Washington. Langone auditioned for American Idol’s tenth season in San Francisco, performing Marvin Gaye’s “I Heard It Through the Grapevine”.
