Spormaggiore

Spormaggiore is a comune (municipality) in Trentino in the northern Italian region of Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 15 kilometres (9 miles) northwest of Trento.

It is situated in the Rotaliana-Konigsberg plain, at the entrance to the Val di Non (Non Valley), nestled between the Brenta Dolomites to the west and the Paganella massif to the east. The municipality covers an area of approximately 12.06 square kilometres (4.66 sq mi) and has a population of around 1,300 inhabitants.

Spormaggiore is known for its natural surroundings and proximity to the Adamello Brenta Nature Park, making it a destination for outdoor activities and tourism. Its economy traditionally includes agriculture, particularly apple cultivation, typical of the Val di Non, alongside tourism. The village also hosts the Wildlife Park Spormaggiore, dedicated to the preservation and reintroduction of local wildlife.
