Description
Sphenella marginata is a species of tephritid (fruit) fly. Members of the genus Sphenella are generally small to medium‑sized flies possessing patterned wings typical of many tephritids. Specific morphological characteristics for S. marginata are recorded in taxonomic keys distinguishing it from congeners, such as the pattern of wing markings and the shape of the ovipositor in females.
