The Sounds Live Feels Live World Tour was the second headlining concert tour by the Australian pop rock band 5 Seconds of Summer, undertaken in support of their second studio album, Sounds Good Feels Good (released October 23, 2015). The tour began on February 19, 2016, at the Nagoya Congress Center in Nagoya, Japan, and concluded on October 5, 2016, at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney, Australia.
The tour comprised 101 shows across four legs (Asia, Europe, North America, and Australia/Oceania), with a total attendance of approximately 743,906 and a box office gross of $39 million.
Background
In October 2015, the band announced European headlining dates, followed by announcements for Asia and North America. The 101 dates represented a significant increase from their debut tour the previous year, largely due to the addition of an Asian leg and new venues in Europe, the United States, and Mexico. The band reduced its Canadian appearances to two shows.
Reception
The tour received generally favorable reviews. Sugarscape.com awarded the show five stars out of five, writing: "We're not even sure how they manage it, but these boys sound better and feel better every time we see 'em." Kathy McCabe of The Daily Telegraph wrote: "The screams [of their fans] hurt your ears, the songs don't; their infectious pop hooks, three-part vocals and Irwin's propulsive rhythms and energetic performance inciting you to move."
