Sotiris Kaiafas (Greek: Σωτήρης Καϊάφας; born 7 June 1949 in Kyrenia, Cyprus) is a Cypriot former professional footballer who played as a forward. He is widely recognised for his lengthy tenure with AC Omonia Nicosia and for winning the European Golden Shoe in the 1975–76 season.
Early life
Kaiafas was born in the city of Kyrenia on the northern coast of Cyprus. He began playing football in local youth teams before joining the academy of AC Omonia, one of the leading clubs in the Cypriot league system.
