Sodpur railway station is a Kolkata Suburban Railway station located in the town of Sodepur in the North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, India. It is situated on the Sealdah–Ranaghat line of the Kolkata Suburban Railway and is operated by the Eastern Railway zone of Indian Railways.

History
The Sealdah–Kusthia line of the Eastern Bengal Railway was opened to railway traffic in 1862. The Eastern Bengal Railway operated only on the eastern side of the Hooghly River. The station opened in 1862, making it over 160 years old.
Electrification
The Sealdah–Ranaghat sector was electrified between 1963 and 1965.
Station Complex
The station has four platforms (PF1 to PF4) that are well sheltered. Facilities include water and sanitation. The station is well connected to BT Road. It features underground subways as well as a railway overbridge connecting all platforms to the Sodepur Market and auto stand. Parking and bicycle facilities are available near the station.
Services
Sodpur railway station serves the Kolkata Suburban Railway network. The preceding station towards Sealdah is Agarpara, and the following station towards Ranaghat Junction is Khardaha. Numerous local EMU trains serve the station, connecting it to Sealdah, Ranaghat, Naihati, Kalyani Simanta, Shantipur, Gede, Barrackpore, Krishnanagar City, and other destinations.
