Soccer Bowl '82 was the championship match of the 1982 North American Soccer League (NASL) season. It was the 16th championship game in the history of the league and the fifth to be played under the "Soccer Bowl" designation. The match took place on September 18, 1982, at Jack Murphy Stadium in San Diego, California.
The final featured the New York Cosmos and the Seattle Sounders. The New York Cosmos entered the match seeking their fifth league title, having finished the regular season with the best record. The Seattle Sounders were making their second appearance in a Soccer Bowl, following a loss in 1977.
The New York Cosmos won the match 1–0. The game's only goal was scored by striker Giorgio Chinaglia in the 30th minute of play. Chinaglia's goal remained the difference throughout the match, despite offensive efforts from the Sounders in the second half. The Cosmos' victory secured their fifth and final NASL championship before the league's eventual dissolution in 1984.
The attendance for the event was recorded at 22,634 spectators. The match was officiated by referee David Socha. Following the conclusion of the game, the Cosmos' victory further established the franchise as the most successful team in the history of the original NASL.
