Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali

Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali (born 12 July 1937) is a Malaysian medical doctor, public health advocate, and former First Lady of Malaysia. She is the wife of Mahathir Mohamad, who served as Prime Minister of Malaysia from 1981 to 2003 and again from 2018 to 2020.

Early Life and Education

  • Born in Klang, Selangor, Malaysia, Siti Hasmah attended local primary and secondary schools before enrolling at the University of Malaya, where she earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree in 1965.
