Siddharth Shanghvi

Siddharth Shanghvi is an acclaimed Indian author known for his evocative and richly descriptive prose. He gained international recognition for his debut novel, The Last Song of Dusk.

Born in Mumbai, India, Shanghvi's literary career began with the publication of The Last Song of Dusk in 2004, which quickly garnered critical acclaim and won the Betty Trask Award, presented by the Society of Authors for a first novel by an author under 35. The novel is celebrated for its poetic language and its exploration of themes such as love, loss, and memory set against a backdrop of aristocratic India.

His subsequent works include the short story collection Sacred Games (2007), which features interconnected narratives exploring human desire and vulnerability, and the novel The Lost Flamingoes of Bombay (2009), a suspenseful tale delving into the darker aspects of human nature. Shanghvi has also ventured into children's literature with The Rabbit & The Squirrel (2018) and published the novel The Conqueror (2020).
