Sick Note is a British dark comedy television series created and written by Nat Saunders and James Serafinowicz. The series premiered on Sky One in the United Kingdom in 2017.
Synopsis The plot revolves around Daniel Glass (played by Rupert Grint), a compulsive liar and an unfulfilled insurance sales representative who is stuck in a dead-end relationship and job. His life takes an unexpected turn when he is misdiagnosed with a terminal illness by his incompetent oncologist, Dr. Ian Glennis (played by Nick Frost). Instead of revealing the truth and admitting his own error, Dr. Glennis encourages Daniel to maintain the lie, leading Daniel into a web of increasingly complicated and absurd situations as he tries to maintain the sympathy and special treatment he receives from everyone around him.
