Sergey Valeryevich Zabolotsky (Russian: Серге́й Вале́рьевич Заболо́тский; born November 22, 1983) is a Russian former professional ice hockey goaltender. He played the majority of his career in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) and its predecessor, the Russian Superleague (RSL).
Early Life and Career Zabolotsky was born in Sverdlovsk, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union (now Yekaterinburg, Russia). He began his hockey career in the local youth system, developing as a goaltender. He made his professional debut in the early 2000s, gradually rising through the ranks of Russian hockey.
Professional Career Zabolotsky's professional career spanned over a decade, seeing him play for numerous teams across Russia's top leagues. He was known for his steady presence in goal and his ability to adapt to different teams and systems.
His KHL career included stints with several prominent clubs:
