Sergei Dzodziyev

Sergei Vasilyevich Dzodziyev (Russian: Серге́й Васильевич Дзодзиев; born November 22, 1989) is a Russian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder.

Early Life and Career

Dzodziyev was born in Grozny, Chechen-Ingush ASSR, Soviet Union (now Chechnya, Russia). He began his football journey in the youth system of his local club, FC Terek Grozny (now FC Akhmat Grozny).

Professional Career

Dzodziyev made his senior professional debut in 2010 with FC Dynamo Stavropol in the Russian Second Division (now the Russian Professional Football League, PFL), the third tier of Russian football.

Throughout his career, he played for various clubs primarily within the lower professional divisions of Russian football. His playing career included two stints at his boyhood club, FC Terek Grozny, from 2008–2009 and again from 2012–2013, though his appearances for the main squad were limited, mostly playing for the reserve team.

Other clubs Dzodziyev represented include FC Mashuk-KMV Pyatigorsk, FC Vityaz Krymsk, FC Afips Afipsky, FC Biolog-Novokubansk, FC Spartak Vladikavkaz, and FC Legion Dynamo Makhachkala. He typically featured as a central or defensive midfielder. His career largely unfolded in the PFL, where he accumulated considerable experience before concluding his professional playing days.
