Reception
The album received generally favorable reviews from publications such as AllMusic, Billboard, Blender, The Hartford Courant, PopMatters, Rolling Stone, The Skinny, and Spin. It charted on the U.S. Billboard 200 and achieved positions on several international charts (Austria, Germany, Switzerland, United Kingdom).
Promotion
Dylan promoted Seeing Things with performances at Nissan’s Live Sets in Los Angeles (May 8 2008) and television appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman (June 11), The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (July 15), and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (August 4). A solo tour with his backing band, the Gold Mountain Rebels, began on May 17 2008.
