Scotorythra capnopa

Scotorythra capnopa is a species of moth in the family Geometridae. It was first described by the British entomologist Edward Meyrick in 1899, based on specimens collected at Olaa. This species is endemic to the island of Hawaii.

The genus Scotorythra, erected by Arthur Gardiner Butler in 1883, comprises approximately 30 species, all of which are endemic to the Hawaiian Islands. Scotorythra capnopa is characterized by a wingspan of 36–39 mm, with dark fuscous coloration on the head, thorax, and wings.
