The Saudi Cup is an annual Thoroughbred horse race held at King Abdulaziz Racetrack in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Inaugurated in 2020, it is currently the world's richest horse race, with a purse of US$20 million. The race is run on dirt over a distance of 1,800 meters (approximately 1 1/8 miles). It is open to horses aged four years and older from around the world, and it attracts some of the top equine athletes and trainers. The Saudi Cup is the centerpiece of a two-day racing festival that also includes several other high-value stakes races. The race has rapidly gained prominence and is considered a significant event on the international horse racing calendar.
