"Sattar" is a given name of Arabic origin meaning "one who conceals faults" or "hider," while "Bahlulzade" is a patronymic surname meaning "son of Bahlul," with "zade" signifying "descendant of" in Persian and Turkic languages.

Bahlulzade’s artistic style combined elements of realism with impressionistic and symbolic features. He often used vibrant colors and bold brushwork to convey the emotional and spiritual resonance of nature. Notable works include landscapes of the Absheron Peninsula, the Caspian Sea, and the village of Shuvalan. His painting “Morning on the Caspian” is among his most recognized pieces.
