Sarah Bannister (born 26 May 1974) is a British actress, widely recognised for her roles in several popular children's television series during the 1980s and 1990s.
Early Life and Education
Born in England, Bannister developed an interest in acting from a young age. She reportedly attended Redroofs Theatre School, a performing arts school known for training child actors.Career
Bannister began her acting career in the late 1980s, quickly establishing herself in children's television. Her breakout role came as Marian in the acclaimed BBC children's comedy series ''Maid Marian and her Merry Men'' (1989-1994), created by Tony Robinson. The show was known for its satirical take on the Robin Hood legend and gained a cult following.Following this, she took on another significant role as Dinah Hunter in the BBC adaptation of Gillian Cross's popular children's novel ''The Demon Headmaster'' (1996-1998).
