Early life and education
Sajid Ghafoor was born and raised in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. He completed his primary education in Peshawar and earned his F.Sc. from the Pakistani Air Force Degree College, Peshawar. He obtained a B.A. from Islamia College University, a LL.B. from the University of Peshawar, an LL.M. from the University of Hull (United Kingdom), and a diploma in International Environmental Law from Oslo University, Norway. As of the mid‑2020s, he was reported to be lecturing at the Law College of the University of Peshawar【1†L1-L4】.
Music career
Ghafoor is a guitarist, harmonica player, and vocalist best known as one half of the Pakistani electronic‑music duo Sajid & Zeeshan. The duo, formed in 2003, originated from Peshawar and produces music that blends electronica, alternative rock, ambient, and pop influences. Ghafoor contributes guitars, harmonicas, and vocals, while his partner Zeeshan Parwez handles synthesizers, laptops, and effects modules【2†L1-L3】【2†L13-L16】.
The duo released their debut album, One Light Year at Snail Speed, through EMI Pakistan in August 2006.
