Sacha de Boer

Sacha Antoinette Salburg de Boer (born April 9, 1967) is a Dutch journalist, television presenter, and photographer. She is widely known for her career as a news anchor for the Dutch public broadcaster NOS, where she presented the prominent NOS Journaal for many years. Following her television career, she transitioned to become a professional photographer, gaining recognition for her portraiture and documentary work.

Early Life and Education Sacha de Boer was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands. She pursued her higher education at the University of Amsterdam, where she studied Political Science.

Career

Journalism and Television De Boer began her career in journalism at the local Amsterdam television station AT5, where she worked as a reporter and presenter. Her talent and presence quickly led her to national television. In 1996, she joined the Nederlandse Omroep Stichting (NOS), the Dutch public news organization.

She rose to prominence as one of the main anchors of the NOS Journaal, the flagship news program in the Netherlands. From 1999 until 2012, she was a familiar face to Dutch viewers, presenting major news events and daily broadcasts with a calm and authoritative style. Her tenure at NOS Journaal established her as one of the most recognizable and respected journalists in the country.

Transition to Photography In 2012, De Boer announced her departure from the NOS Journaal to pursue her long-standing passion for photography. This career change marked a significant shift from the fast-paced world of television news to a more contemplative and artistic profession.
