Ryan Nembhard

Ryan Nembhard (born March 16, 2003) is a Canadian professional basketball player who plays as a point guard. He is known for his collegiate career with both the Gonzaga Bulldogs and the Creighton Bluejays before being selected in the National Basketball Association (NBA) draft.

Early Life and College Career Born in Aurora, Ontario, Nembhard attended Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida, a highly regarded prep school known for its basketball program.

He began his collegiate career at Creighton University, playing for the Creighton Bluejays. As a freshman in the 2021–22 season, Nembhard quickly became the team's starting point guard, earning Big East Conference All-Freshman Team honors. He demonstrated strong playmaking and defensive skills.

After two seasons at Creighton, Nembhard transferred to Gonzaga University, joining the Gonzaga Bulldogs for the 2023–24 season. During his time at Gonzaga, he continued to showcase his abilities as a dynamic guard, contributing significantly to the team's success in the West Coast Conference and the NCAA Tournament. His performance at Gonzaga solidified his draft stock.

Professional Career Nembhard declared for the 2024 NBA draft and was selected by the Memphis Grizzlies.

Personal Life Ryan Nembhard is the younger brother of Andrew Nembhard, who also plays in the NBA for the Indiana Pacers. Both brothers have represented Canada in international basketball competitions.
