Series 4 of the Australian police drama Rush premiered on 1 September 2011 on Network Ten with a double episode. The fourth and final season consists of 13 episodes, airing until 17 November 2011. The series follows the officers of the Tactical Response Unit (TR) in Victoria, Australia.

Plot
The season opens with the assassination of the Victorian Police Minister, prompting the creation of a special taskforce called Cicero. Kerry Vincent is asked to head it, but is forced to appoint Charlie Lewis as Senior Officer in Charge, creating tension with Lawson Blake. Senior Constable Michael Sandrelli is fired from TR and sent on an undercover mission targeting a family of cocaine importers. The season builds toward a Russian fugitive known as "The Cuckoo" who plans to unleash chaos across Melbourne, culminating in a dirty bomb threat that sends Lawson, Christian, and Shannon to Fiji to extradite a fugitive who can disarm the device.

The series concluded after 70 episodes. Its cancellation was attributed in part to declining ratings and largely to the series having surpassed the 65-episode threshold, making it ineligible for continued tax rebates under Australian television production incentives.
