Rubicon (New Zealand band)

Rubicon was a New Zealand rock band formed in Auckland in 1998. The band achieved moderate success in New Zealand, releasing two studio albums: Primary (2004) and The Hollow & the Cold (2007).

The band's lineup consisted of Paul Reid (vocals, guitar), Gene Bennett (guitar), Andrew Sims (bass), and Wes Reid (drums). Their music was characterized by a blend of alternative rock, hard rock, and pop influences.

Rubicon toured extensively throughout New Zealand and Australia, opening for acts such as Steriogram, Midnight Youth, and Shihad. They also performed at several major New Zealand music festivals, including Big Day Out and Homegrown.

The band's singles, including "Easy," "Gluttony," and "Lost," received airplay on New Zealand radio stations. Despite their popularity, Rubicon disbanded in 2009.

Following the disbandment, members of Rubicon pursued various musical projects. Paul Reid has continued to work as a musician and songwriter.
