Early Career and Background Nicole Lee began her professional wrestling career in the independent circuit under various ring names, most notably Nikki Roxx and "Moose." She developed a reputation as a tough, athletic competitor before signing with TNA.
Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) Lee debuted in TNA in February 2007 as Roxxi Laveaux, initially introduced as the "Voodoo Queen" manager for the stable Voodoo Kin Mafia (VKM), which consisted of BG James and Kip James. Her character was characterized by a dark, mystical persona, often performing voodoo rituals at ringside and wearing elaborate makeup and attire that reflected a New Orleans voodoo aesthetic.
As the VKM storyline progressed, Roxxi Laveaux transitioned into a competitor within the burgeoning TNA Knockouts division. She participated in the inaugural Knockouts Gauntlet match at Bound for Glory 2007 to crown the first-ever TNA Women's Knockout Champion.
One of her most notable storylines involved a feud with The Beautiful People (Angelina Love and Velvet Sky). After losing a "Knockout Makeover" match to Love, Laveaux was forced to have her head shaved, leading to a dramatic transformation of her character. She briefly adopted a more rugged, "hardcore" babyface persona, often referred to as "The Hardcore Knockout," which resonated with fans for its defiance and resilience.
Despite challenging for the TNA Women's Knockout Championship on multiple occasions, Laveaux never officially held the title. She competed in various high-profile matches for the division, including Gauntlets, Ladder Matches, and further "Makeover" challenges. She was released from TNA in early 2010.
Character and Persona The Roxxi Laveaux character was deeply rooted in New Orleans voodoo folklore and imagery. She often carried a voodoo doll, wore dark, tattered clothing, and had intricate face paint resembling traditional skull or skeletal motifs. Her entrance music, mannerisms, and use of "voodoo" curses in promos further emphasized her mystical and somewhat menacing presence, making her one of the more unique and memorable characters in TNA's Knockouts division history.
After TNA Following her departure from TNA, Nicole Lee continued to wrestle on the independent circuit, primarily reverting to her Nikki Roxx persona. She eventually retired from full-time competition, though she has made sporadic appearances in wrestling since.
