Rosen Asenov Plevneliev (born 14 May 1964) is a Bulgarian businessman and politician who served as the 5th President of the Republic of Bulgaria from 22 January 2012 to 22 January 2017.
Early life and education

- As president, Plevneliev focused on supporting European integration, promoting economic reforms, and strengthening Bulgaria’s diplomatic ties. He also emphasized the importance of transparency and anti‑corruption measures.
- Did not seek re‑election in 2016; his term concluded on 22 January 2017, and he was succeeded by Rumen Radev.
