Rosemary Zimu

Rosemary Zimu is a South African actress, singer, and voice-over artist known for her work in television and film. She gained international recognition for her lead role in the Netflix original series Savage Beauty.

Career

Zimu began her professional acting career in 2014, making her film debut in the Nollywood production Champagne. She subsequently moved into the South African television industry, securing roles in several high-profile soap operas and telenovelas. Her early television credits include appearances in Generations: The Legacy, where she played the character Thembeka, and the long-running drama Isidingo.

Between 2020 and 2021, Zimu portrayed the character Warona in the Mzansi Magic telenovela The Queen. In 2022, she was cast as the protagonist, Zinhle Manzini, in the drama series Savage Beauty, which explores themes of revenge and the beauty industry.

Musical and Voice Work

In addition to her acting career, Zimu is a musician. She released her debut EP, titled Spirit, in 2020. She also works as a voice-over artist, contributing to various commercial and narrative projects.
