Overview
Ropaži Municipality (Latvian: Ropažu novads) is an administrative unit of Latvia situated in the Vidzeme region. Its administrative centre is the town of Ropaži. The municipality belongs to the Riga Planning Region.
Geography
The municipality lies to the north‑east of the capital city Riga and includes a mixture of rural landscapes, forested areas, and agricultural land. It is traversed by the Gauja River and several smaller watercourses.
