Roman Inderst (born 1975) is a German economist and professor of finance. He is known for his research on corporate finance, banking, and financial intermediation.
Early life and education
Inderst was born in Germany in 1975. He studied economics at the University of Bonn, where he earned a Diplom (M.Sc.) in Economics. He completed his doctoral dissertation in economics at the same institution, receiving his Ph.D. in 2003.
Academic career
After obtaining his doctorate, Inderst held research positions at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin). In 2009, he was appointed as a professor of finance at the University of Mannheim, where he also serves as director of the Mannheim Center for Competition and Innovation (MCCI). He has been a visiting scholar at several international institutions and participates in various research collaborations.
