Roerichiora bachma is a species of moth belonging to the family Cossidae (carpenter or goat moths). It was first described by the entomologist Roman Viktorovich Yakovlev in 2011.
Distribution and habitat: The species is found in central Vietnam. Its type locality is the Bach Ma region of Thua Thien Hue Province, at an elevation of approximately 1,200 meters. The specific epithet bachma is derived from this type locality.
Taxonomy: Roerichiora bachma is classified within the genus Roerichiora (family Cossidae, subfamily Zeuzerinae). The genus Roerichiora contains three other species: R. clara, R. obliquifascia, and R. stigmatica. The holotype specimen (a male) is held in the Natural History Museum collection in London (NHMT).
Etymology of the genus: The genus name Roerichiora honors Nicholas Roerich (1874–1947), the Russian painter, writer, archaeologist, theosophist, and explorer, after whom the genus is named.
