Rod Smith (Canadian football)

Rod Smith is a former professional Canadian football wide receiver who played in the Canadian Football League (CFL).

Smith was drafted by the Edmonton Eskimos (now Edmonton Elks) in the 1989 CFL Draft. He spent the majority of his career with the Eskimos, playing for them from 1989 to 1995. During his tenure with Edmonton, Smith was part of the team that won the 81st Grey Cup in 1993. Known for his speed, he was a key offensive asset. He concluded his CFL career with a brief stint with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 1996.
