Rock Candy (album)

Rock Candy is the sole studio album by the American hard rock band Rock Candy, released in 1977 on ABC Records. The album features a lineup of former members of notable bands, including Randy Pieper (guitar, ex-American Dream), Bobby Caldwell (vocals, also known as a solo R&B artist), Tom Ginelli (bass, also ex-Ram Jam), and Billy Ward (drums, also ex-Robert Gordon). The album is known for its hard-driving, guitar-oriented sound, heavily influenced by the popular rock music of the mid-to-late 1970s. While not a major commercial success upon its initial release, Rock Candy has gained a cult following among fans of classic hard rock. The album's songs are characterized by strong musicianship and Caldwell's distinctive vocals, and the album is considered a representative example of the era's hard rock style. Despite the band's potential, Rock Candy disbanded shortly after the album's release, and the members pursued other musical projects.
