Robin Curtis (born July 2, 1956) is an American actress best known for her work in the 1980s and early 1990s, particularly for portraying the Vulcan Starfleet officer Saavik in the Star Trek film series.
Early life and education
Curtis was born in Dallas, Texas. She attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a degree in theater and participated in stage productions.
Film and television career
- Star Trek: Curtis assumed the role of Saavik beginning with Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984), continuing in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986) and appearing in the television series episode “The Battle” of Star Trek: The Next Generation (1990).
- Other film work: She appeared in The Accused (1988) as a supporting character, and held roles in The A-Team film (2010) and the comedy Lethal Weapon 2 (1989).
- Television: Curtis made guest appearances on series such as Magnum, P.I., The Love Boat, and Murder, She Wrote throughout the 1980s.
