Robert S. Furman is an American former professional football player who played as a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL).

Biography and Career Furman attended Rutgers University, where he played for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights football team. He was selected by the Houston Oilers in the 5th round (116th overall) of the 1973 NFL Draft. He played for the Oilers for two seasons, participating in 24 games during the 1973 and 1974 seasons as a linebacker. After his time with the Oilers, his professional football career concluded.
