Rob Heanley

Rob Heanley (born 1977) is a former professional rugby league footballer who played primarily as a prop. A British national, he represented Ireland at international level.

Heanley began his professional career with Castleford Tigers, making his debut in the late 1990s. His career saw him feature for several clubs in both the Super League and the lower divisions of British rugby league. After his time with Castleford, he went on to play for Hull FC and Wakefield Trinity Wildcats in the Super League. He later moved to clubs in the Rugby League Championship and League 1, including spells with Batley Bulldogs and Hunslet Hawks.

Known for his physical presence and strong play in the front row, Heanley was eligible to represent Ireland through his ancestry. He earned international caps for the Ireland national rugby league team, notably being part of their squad for the 2008 Rugby League World Cup. He retired from professional rugby league in the late 2000s.
