Remembering (Grant Green album)

Remembering is a studio album by American jazz guitarist Grant Green. Although the performances were recorded on August 29 1961 at Rudy Van Gelder’s studio in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, the album was not released until 1980, when it appeared on the Japanese Blue Note label (catalog GXF 3071). A U.S. CD reissue was issued in 1998 under the title Standards, which added an alternate take and an additional track from the same session.

Background and recording
The album consists of a trio setting—Green on guitar, Wilbur Ware on bass, and Al Harewood on drums. This format was atypical for Green, who was more frequently recorded with organists or pianists. The session was produced by Alfred Lion, co‑founder of Blue Note Records.
