Red Mountain was an American rock band formed in Birmingham, Alabama in 2007. The band's sound was characterized by a blend of alternative rock, indie rock, and Americana influences, often drawing comparisons to bands like Wilco and Band of Horses.
The band consisted of brothers Brad Armstrong (vocals, guitar) and Carey Armstrong (drums), along with Chris Seefeldt (bass). Red Mountain released several EPs and two full-length albums: Red Mountain (2010) and Thieves (2012).
Red Mountain toured extensively throughout the United States, sharing stages with various artists in the indie rock scene. Their music garnered critical acclaim from publications like Paste Magazine and American Songwriter.
The band dissolved in 2014, with members pursuing other musical projects. Brad Armstrong went on to form the band Future Primitives, while Carey Armstrong became a sought-after session drummer. Chris Seefeldt continued to work as a musician and producer. Although Red Mountain is no longer active, their music remains available on streaming platforms.
