Ray Alborn (born August 30, 1938) is an American former football player and coach. He is most noted for his tenure as head football coach at the University of Houston from 1978 to 1981. During his four‑year period at Houston, Alborn led the Cougars to several bowl appearances and guided the program through a transition from the Southwest Conference to independent status.
