Randy Boehning (born September 12, 1963) is an American politician who served as a member of the North Dakota House of Representatives from the 27th district from 2002 to 2018. A member of the Republican Party, he represented the Fargo area.
During his tenure, Boehning served on various committees, including the Industry, Business and Labor Committee and the Government and Veterans Affairs Committee. He was known for his work on legislation related to economic development, transportation, and veterans' affairs.
In 2017, Boehning became the subject of national media attention after a report by the Fargo Forum revealed he had used a gay dating application while voting against LGBTQ+ rights legislation, including a bill prohibiting discrimination based on sexual orientation in housing and employment. Following the report, Boehning publicly acknowledged he was gay. He did not seek re-election in 2018.
Prior to his legislative service, Boehning worked in the financial services industry. He is a graduate of North Dakota State University.
