Rainy (stylized as Rainy。) is the professional stage name of Ruca Sharon Pike (パイク琉華シャロン, Paiku Ruka Sharon; born June 28, 2008), a Japanese-Australian former model and singer-songwriter. She debuted on May 5, 2022, and is currently signed under the B-Zone label, a subsidiary of B Zone.
Background
Rainy was born on June 28, 2008, in Fukuoka, Japan. She is half Australian and half Japanese. Between 2018 and 2021, she worked as an image model and child singer under the stage name Ruca (Lucia) as part of the second generation of the Studio fluke model agency's group Team KSC. In 2019, she won the Grand Prix at the "Kyushu Teen's Audition 2019" held by the Being Group.
Career
In early 2022, Rainy uploaded English cover songs on her YouTube channel with her face shown in silhouette. She made her major debut on May 4, 2022, with the digital single "Find the Truth," which served as the ending theme for the anime television series Case Closed: Zero's Tea Time. Her third digital single, "Kizunaen" (絆炎), was used as a theme song for the video game Fire Emblem Engage (2023). On her 15th birthday (June 28, 2023), she released her first full-length album, Rainy Universe. Her first physical single, "...and Rescue me," served as an ending theme for the television series Case Closed and debuted at number 36 on the Oricon Weekly Charts.
