Raimond Lis (born May 24, 1969, in Krosno) is a Polish politician who currently serves as a member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland. He represents the Law and Justice (Prawo i Sprawiedliwość) party.
Early Life and Education Born in Krosno, Poland, Lis pursued higher education at the Agricultural Academy in Kraków (currently known as the University of Agriculture Hugon Kołłątaj in Kraków), where he obtained a degree in agricultural engineering.
Political Career Lis embarked on his political career at the local government level. He was elected as a councilor for the Krosno County Council (Rada Powiatu Krośnieńskiego), serving multiple terms in this capacity. His local government experience expanded significantly when he was elected as the mayor (wójt) of the Jaśliska municipality in 2006. He successfully held the position of mayor for four consecutive terms, serving the community until 2023. During his time as mayor, he was involved in various local development initiatives and administrative duties.
In the 2023 Polish parliamentary election, Raimond Lis contested a seat in the Sejm, the lower house of the Polish parliament. Running as a candidate for the Law and Justice party, he was elected to represent the Krosno constituency (District No. 22). He subsequently took office as a member of the X term of the Sejm. As a parliamentarian, he participates in the legislative process and represents the interests of his constituents.
