Rachid Talbi Alami (born 1958 in Tetouan) is a Moroccan politician and a senior member of the National Rally of Independents (RNI) party. He currently serves as the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the lower house of the Moroccan Parliament.
Alami's political career includes several high-level positions within the Moroccan government and legislature. He was first elected as the Speaker of the House of Representatives in April 2014, serving until 2017. Following the general elections in 2021, he was re-elected to the same position in October 2021.
In addition to his legislative roles, Alami has held various ministerial portfolios. He served as the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Telecommunications in the cabinet of Prime Minister Driss Jettou between 2002 and 2007. Later, he was appointed Minister of Youth and Sports, a position he held from 2017 to 2019.
At the local and regional levels, Alami has been involved in the governance of northern Morocco. He has served as the president of the urban commune of Tetouan and has held leadership roles within the regional council of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima.
Alami holds a doctorate in finance and management from the Mohammed V University in Rabat. Outside of his public service, his professional background includes work in the private sector and economic consultancy. He is often recognized for his involvement in institutional reforms and the modernization of legislative procedures in Morocco.
