R. Scott Jobe

R. Scott Jobe is a general officer in the United States Air Force, currently holding the rank of Major General. He serves as the Director of Plans, Programs, and Requirements at Headquarters Air Combat Command (ACC), based at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. In this capacity, he is responsible for overseeing the requirements and programming for the Air Force's combat air forces, including fighter, over-the-horizon radar, and command and control aircraft.

Jobe graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 1994. He is a command pilot with extensive experience in fighter aircraft, specifically the F-15C Eagle and the F-22 Raptor. Throughout his career, he has held numerous leadership positions at the squadron, group, and wing levels. Notable previous assignments include serving as the Commander of the 35th Fighter Wing at Misawa Air Base, Japan, and the Commander of the 432nd Wing and 432nd Air Expeditionary Wing at Creech Air Force Base, Nevada.

Prior to his current role at ACC, Jobe served at the Pentagon as the Director of Force Design, Integration, and Wargaming (A5/7) for the Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategy, Integration, and Requirements. His military education includes advanced degrees from the Air Command and Staff College and the School of Advanced Air and Space Studies. He has participated in several major military operations, contributing to the strategic and operational planning of U.S. air power.
