Pyatho (Burmese: ပြာသို, [pjázò]) is the tenth month of the traditional Burmese calendar, falling during the winter season in Myanmar. It generally corresponds to parts of late December and January in the Gregorian calendar.
As part of the twelve-month Burmese lunisolar calendar, Pyatho is characterized by cooler temperatures, making it one of the coldest months of the year in many parts of the country. The month follows Nataw and precedes Tabodwe. Historically, agricultural activities like harvesting may be ongoing or concluding during this period, particularly for winter crops. While not as prominently associated with specific festivals as some other months, Pyatho is a period of relative quiet after the major festivals of Tazaungmon and Nataw, leading up to the cooler weather festivals and observances of Tabodwe and Tabaung.
